Kids will love mixing up their own colorful make-up, and you’ll love the ability to adjust the quantity and colors to your needs.

Our tip:  Let the kids paint themselves!!  Sure mom is an artist, but really, the fun is in painting yourself!!

Really want to impress?!?  Add some glitter, or a little powdered eye shadow into the mix, for that extra BLING!  Or try adding a little cocoa powder for some brown face paint, the next time your child wants to dress-up as the dog!!  Too fun!

Cornstarch and Cold Cream Face Paint Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 tsp water
  • 2 tsp cold cream
  • Food coloring

Procedure

  • Get out 4 small bowls.
  • In each bowl, mix together 1 teaspoon cornstarch, 1/2 teaspoon water, and 1/2 teaspoon cold cream.
  • Choose 4 colors you would like to make, and add 2 drops of each color into one of the bowls.
    • Hint:  For white face paint, leave two bowls WITHOUT food coloring.  That way, you’ll have plenty of white for the base.
  • Mix well.

Now you’re ready to paint your face, and your child’s face!

Note:  Most brands of cold cream are safe for children, and cold cream actually forms a protective barrier on skin to protect delicate faces during cold weather. So paint your little one’s face next time it’s cold!!!!
